INERTIA

Flywheel platform

The INERTIA isoinertial flywheel platform allows you to perform exercises by accelerating and decelerating a

flywheel by pulling a rope. Ideal for performing sport-specific movements and overloading the muscles during their eccentric contraction phase.

Characterized by a versatile design and a quick and integrated resistance change system, it is the perfect flywheel solution for any professional in the strength and conditioning sector.

Resistance
The patented resistance change system allows you to go from a minimum load to a maximum load in an instant. Simply slide the colored sleeve along the rotational shaft to change resistance without getting off the platform.

Features

INERTIA is composed of a rotation shaft, to which both a flywheel and a rope are attached.

To start the exercise it is necessary to partially roll up the rope around the rotational shaft. Subsequently, a concentric action is required start the exercise by unrolling the rope from the rotational shaft and rotate the flywheel. When the rope is completely unwound, the inertia and kinetic energy of the flywheel induce the rewinding of the rope in the opposite direction and an eccentric action is needed to decelerate the rope.

Muscles are about 30% stronger when they are in the eccentric phase.

If the rope is decelerated in a shorter time than it is accelerated, the muscles can be overloaded eccentrically so as to induce more training stimuli for maximum strength and hypertrophy. Furthermore, the isoinertial resistance can be modulated through the speed of the exercise and allows to adapt the load to different working angles during the same repetition by modifying the speed of contraction (the greater the speed, the greater the resistance), or to perform maximal contractions from the first to the last repetition.

Competitive advantages

  • The optimized design for performing exercises on and off the platform.
  • The cylindrical instead of conical shaft which allows to generate greater force peaks.
  • The possibility of combining the wall guide for open kinetic chain exercises.
